Pastor Michael T. Swinney
Our Pastor
Reverend Michael T. Swinney has labored in the ministry for 22 years. He was ordained by the St. John Baptist Association in 2008. Reverend Swinney has a sincere passion and heart for serving and encouraging the people of God. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Reverend Swinney's academic and entrepreneurial pursuits testify to his diverse skills and interests. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree at Shaw University. In addition, he and his wife own One Stop Academy School of Barbering in Fayetteville, N.C., where he is the Director of Education. They also own and operate One Stop Barber Shop in Raeford.
He resides in Fayetteville, N.C., with his wife of 12 years, Elder Ammiel Swinney, and they have two children, Caleb and Josiah.

Elder Ammiel Y. Swinney
Our First Lady & Associate Minister
Elder Ammiel Y. Swinney has labored in the ministry for 25 years. She accepted her call at the age of 15. Elder Swinney was licensed as a minister in 2017 and ordained in 2022 under the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. She has a heart for reaching people right where they are. She currently serves alongside her husband as an associate minister at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Hamlet, N.C.
Elder Swinney is a retired US Army veteran. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Liberty University and a Women's Entrepreneurship Certification from Cornell University.
She resides in Fayetteville, N.C., with her husband of 12 years, Reverend Michael T. Swinney, and together they have two children, Caleb and Josiah.
